Riding Lessons
We offer western horseback riding lessons for ages 3 & up.
Lessons for 3-6 years old are 30 minutes and consist of grooming, learning to tack and basic riding skills. Cost is $40.00 per 30 minute session.
Private hour long lessons for ages 7 & up. Private lessons are structured with about 15 minutes of grooming, tacking, learning how to properly and safely handle a horse on the ground, 30 minutes of riding, and 15 minutes of untacking and caring for the horse after the ride. As students become comfortable and familiar with grooming and tacking riding time grows. Cost is $65.00 per hour session.
Now offering group one hour riding sessions- ride with 2-4 other riders at your skill level. Structured similar to private lessons. $45.00 a person, email for current days/times. At least four private lessons are required before joining a group.
Training
We offer training for 30, 60 or 90 days. Our goal is to help you reach your goal(s) with your horse. We specialize in colt starting, problem solving, furthering your horses training or just putting miles on the trail.
We want our horses to be constantly searching for what I want them to do next and for them to be positively motivated to do so. We want to ask our horses to move his body with the lightest cue from my body. With each and every horse that comes through the barn we want to prepare them for a lifetime career, whether that competing in 4-H with kids, reining, barrel racing, show jumping or trail riding. No matter what riding discipline you are or what your goals are for your horse, nothing is more important than clear communication, responsiveness and partnership based on mutual trust and respect.
Clinics
Our clinics consist of horsemanship exercises, demos, trail riding and more. Our focus is on fun filled, safe riding where we help you with your horsemanship goals. Some of the exercises we will be teaching will focus on softness/responsiveness, body control and obstacles. If you don’t have your own horse we have a limited number available to use.
Youth Workshops
We offer a variety of horsemanship workshops for beginner to advanced riders. Our goal is for attendees to have hands on learning and experiences to help them learn more about horses. This includes but not limited to, horse management, nutrition, care, safety, first aid, terminology, horse behavior and equipment. Each day riders will ride, play games, crafts and have lots of fun.
3- Day Beginner-Intermediate Workshops; 9AM-12PM
This beginner-intermediate workshop is for those 7 years old and up. This is a great workshop for those who have never ridden before or are not yet advanced enough to ride in our advanced workshop. Riders will be worked with as a group and individuals to help them reach their goals for their horsemanship. This is a great workshop for those wanting to start horseback riding or for those wanting to expand their horsemanship knowledge.
2- Day Advanced Workshop; 9AM-2PM
This workshop is for those who are consistent lesson students. There are advanced horsemanship activities and riding that require participants to have experience. Riders will learn advanced horsemanship and training techniques as well as hands on learning in horse care, nutrition and tack. If you are interested in our advanced workshop, please reach out and we will let you know if you qualify.
1- Day Introductory Horsemanship Workshop; 9AM-12PM
The perfect day for a horse crazy child looking to learn more about horses! Ages 6 & up. This is for those who have never ridden before or beginner riders. The morning will consist of general horsemanship, safety, horse care, tack and riding.
Boarding
When space is available we offer full and pasture board.
